Erectile dysfunction (ED) is defined as recurrent inability to attain or maintain penile erection sufficient for sexual satisfaction. ED is affecting 40 % of man over 40 years old.
ED is also a marker of cardiovascular disease and also happens in 75% of diabetics in their life time.
The cause of erectile dysfunction can be from vascular (60-80%), neurological (10-20%), hormonal (5-10%) and drug related (10-15%) issues.
We worked closely with urologist, endocrinologist, cardiologist and psychologist to give you holistic treatment.
After thorough investigations from different angles usually medical treatment is started.The first line treatment includes the use of drugs (PDE-5I) to help with the erectile dysfunctions. However this doesn’t work all the time.
When medical treatment failed then target investigation on the patency of the blood vessels in the pelvis will be done (CT selective pelvic angiogram). If blocked blood vessels are found in the pelvis relating to blood supply of the penis, balloon angioplasty can be done to help to open up the blood supply. ED can be improved 70 % of the time depending on location and anatomy.
